ROBIN M. HUGHES (Artistic Consultant) Director, producer, and actor, Robin began professionally in theatre at The Guthrie Theater with Garland Wright (Christmas Carol), acting in Joanne Akalaitis’ world premiere of The Rover, and working on Akalaitis’ The Screens and Pravda with Goodman’s Robert Falls. Awarded Steppenwolf’s Acting Fellowship, Robin was in The Ballad of Little Joe (world premiere) directed by Tina Landau and worked with Anna Shapiro (Side Man), David Cromer (Orson’s Shadow), Jessica Thebus (Whispering City), John Malkovich (Hysteria), and Terry Kinney (One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest). Regional credits: Victory Gardens, Little Theatre On the Square, Williams Street Repertory, Paramount-Copley, Griffin, Circle, Light Opera Works, New Millenium, Bailiwick, Mary-Arrchie, Circa 21, G&S Light Opera, and Phipps Center. Robin has worked at Metropolis Performing Arts Centre as Artistic Director, Producer, and Director of Production and has taught with MPAC’s School of Performing Arts since 2002. She is also an Adjunct Theatre Instructor with Dominican University-River Forest. Robin has a Master of Fine Arts from Illinois State University and is a graduate of the Steppenwolf School. She is also a proud union member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers.
